AWOL
Where’s Dilworth? Where’s Weigelt?
All summer I have been preparing my house for the arrival of my daughter, son-in-law and my 2 grandkids. The extent of my birding has been to feed the birds in the yard, and I don’t even know where my camera is. New roof, new flooring on 2 of 3 levels, new inside paint, new well pump, new hot water heater, new kitchen. We have created an apartment on one level of our house for the wife and I and Shawn and his family will live on the other two levels. This is why you haven’t seen any photos from me, and lately, from Shawn. Shawn and family are vagabonding on the east coast and will arrive in Washington the first week of October.
The bad news is no more east coast birds from Shawn (except during his visits) and from me on a Maine vacation. The good news is I get a lot of time with my grandkids and the photos will start up again with west coast bird species from both Shawn and I. I have decreased my elementary computer job to 3 days a week for this year, so when all gets settled I promise Shawn and I will be back with, hopefully, some great new photos. Get this, I have yet to process my photos from 14 months ago when I visited Shawn in Maine.
Sorry it has taken so long to post this explanation, but I assure you we will be back and I will be expanding the educational part of the blog as well. Thanks for your support and understanding.
